Willett/Baldinger Ceramics
Vessel Forms by Luisa Baldinger
Unique and one-of-a-kind ceramic vessels created by Luisa Baldinger. Evocative of ancient pottery dug up at an archeaological site, they call up visions of long-ago cultures. Hand-built, layered with thin coats of terra sigillata and muted colored engobes, they are saggar-fired in aluminum foil "mummies" with various combustibles and ceramic materials that lend their tell-tale "fumes" to the surfaces. No two ever emerge from the fire alike. Read more about saggar work.
